The Challenge of Shipping Fresh Flowers

Sending fresh flowers is not as simple as it may seem.

Flowers are living things. If they cannot be shipped quickly enough, their freshness fades. In the worst case, they may even start to spoil before reaching their destination.

We currently sell fresh flowers through two main channels: our own website and Shopee.

Online marketplaces like Shopee are convenient and helpful platforms, but they also come with certain shipping systems and rules. Because of that, sellers sometimes have less control over the delivery process. Most of the time this works perfectly well—but fresh flowers are a special case.

If the product were something else, a small delay might not matter very much. But flowers are alive. Timing matters a lot.

 

When we receive an order, we harvest the flowers from our farm and ship them the very next day. Each bundle is carefully packed so the flowers won’t be damaged during transport. We even include ice packs to help them survive the hot Malaysian journey.

Even with all these precautions, sometimes unexpected problems happen during delivery.

If a customer receives flowers that were damaged during shipping, we always offer a full refund. That is the best way we know how to take responsibility.

After all, the customer did nothing wrong.
Opening a box and finding spoiled flowers inside would be deeply disappointing. We feel that pain too.
